This is a cat who, when upright is pretty confident, expects everything and everyone to come to him (probably because they usually do!) and has the potential to be kind of a smug jerk. Ouch! But reversed he's falling off his horse and kind of dropping the ball!

Urgh, don't you just hate these money cards? I want fluffy bunny love cards, not MONEY cards! I don't even want to think about money! Unless it's coming to me in unexpected ways of course...
But hey, guess what? We live in the world, and so money is a huge part of our lives, and the Four of Ariel reminds us this week to stop and think about how we are spending. Are you spending way too much? Or are you hoarding all your money away for a 'rainy day' and being kind of a Scrooge?
A good question to ask yourself is this; Are you spending your money on the things that you value? Or are you just buying crap? Think about it next time you're standing in line at the counter, or about to click 'purchase', ask yourself - 'How much do I value this?'
And it works both ways. You might find yourself putting a bunch of stuff you don't really need or want back on the hangers, but you also might find yourself spending more money on things you wouldn't usually. I rarely spend a lot of money on crystals. I always pick up the £1 tumble stones, when really, because I love them so much, I should be looking at the £5 ones instead.

There's a lot of talk going around in spiritual circles about 'intentions'.
So like, what is an intention anyway?!
An intention isn't like, just thinking about something you want. "I want pizza" doesn't always equate to pizza magically turning up. But if you really make it your intention to get a pizza into your life you'll think about, salivate over it, yearn for it and stick your hands down the crumby cracks of the couch to find your loose change and make it happen. That's intention.
It starts with a thought, sure, but it has to either come from a deeper place, or you have to put that thought into a deeper place to make it an intention.
Huh?
OK, let's go back to the pizza analogy. In version 1, you might not have even realised you wanted pizza. Maybe you were watching Breaking Bad or some other show with a cool pizza scene and you find yourself thinking - "Hmm, I wouldn't mind a pizza right about now." You start thinking about the pizza more and more, you find yourself checking the Just-Eat app to look at pizza menus and you realise - I am going to make this pizza thing happen. Boom! Intention.
In version 2 you are driving home from work and you have a sudden realisation - you just have to eat a pizza. No question, no doubt, you will have pizza! That's intention!
Think about how many fleeting thoughts you have in a day, then think about the things that stick. That feeling that you need to get out of your job, or that your boyfriend is a jerk and you can probably do better. Or, if you're like me, you'll have that nagging feeling of needing to get to work on some project you've been procrastinating about (hello blog). Changing or fixing those things make awesome intentions!
But it doesn't have to be that full-on! I was all in love with aqua aura crystals a couple of weeks ago. I pinned about a hundred of them and today my aqua aura crystal turned up in the mail! OK, so I bought it off Etsy, and maybe that doesn't count as actual manifestation, but *I* made it happen! I made that crystal go into a baggy in Hawaii and turn up at my doorstep in England - as if by magic!
So once we work out what we want, whether it's a new boyfriend or a pizza, how do we get it? You can't buy everything off Etsy after all. Now, I'm no genius in manifestation, but I do OK. I'm still waiting on the dream job and the house but hey, all in divine timing right?! but for now, one of my favourite intention fire starters is...
THE SHOWER OF INTENTION!
When I'm in the shower in the morning I basically meditate and do all my prayers and shielding stuff. I get in there at around 5:30am so let's just say some days it goes better than others, but I always try to finish off with an intention for the day. I don't just say the first thing I think of - 'my intention today is to win the lottery so I never have to get up this early again!' No, I can do better than that! I'm basically part incarnated angel and so I'm not really all that good at sticking up for myself and speaking my truth (oh hello aqua aura!), so that's been something I've been putting in my morning intentions, and yes, it is working!
It's not like you're doing that much else in the shower right? You can spare ten seconds each morning to make an intention for your day, even if it's just to order a pizza when you get home, because that sounds pretty damn good to me!

It's probably the last thing you wanted to hear. But yep, we need to go on a detox this week. But before you freak out and hide the chocolate, have a think about what it is you really need to detox. Is it fast food? Alcohol? Negative thought patterns or friends who suck? Maybe you just need to go through your wardrobe and have a clear out. Whatever it is, do it this week!

I've been playing with divination since I was in high school. I remember long before I had a deck of cards writing 'yes' and 'no' on tiny pieces of paper and putting them in a sandwich bag, closing my eyes and asking 'does he like meeeeee?'. And how many of us had 'yes' and 'no' written on each side of our erasers? Did it work? I can't remember, even if he did like me I wouldn't strike up the nerve to talk to a boy for another ten years or so, so I guess I'll never know!
I've been dabbling with the Tarot for years now, but I'm still learning - I'll always be learning! The symbolism and energy of the cards is so rich and deep that I kind of feel like right now I'm just floating around on top. On a lilo. Drinking a Pina Colada. It's a lot of fun, but I've only dangled my legs in so far.
But you don't have to have anyidea of what you are doing to receive messages from the Universe through Tarot. Even if you've just opened your first deck and given the cards a 'knock', a prayer, some sage, incense, whacked a crystal on top or whatever it is you feel like you want to do, you can still find so much meaning and truth if you just use your intuition! You might not know what the card means but you can work out how it makes you feel. And if you're still using a book to help you (I am!) then look for any words or phrases that stand out. Some of the passages in Tarot books can be soooo long and by the time you've finished reading it you forgot what you were asking in the first place! Skim through the words, what feels like your message? What makes you gasp and think - OMG that's so me!?
I asked for a message this week for myself and anyone who happens upon their lucky chance to come by this blog, and the 3 of wands came up for us. Looks like we are back to square one this week, which is no surprise really, as Mercury Retrograde is about to hit! Our energy might be scattered this week because we've just got so many darn irons in the fire! But sometimes set backs are just reminders for us to get centered and re-focused on what we really, really want.
This week we really need to take some time to reassess. Ah, and it's the first of June, what a fantastic time to think about what we want to achieve during the second half of this year. You have six months left of 2014, what are you going to have to show by the end of it?
