Empath in the big city

Being an empath can be super hard, especially in the big city!

I used to live in London and I absolutely loved it, I still do love it! But recently I've been living in Skegness just a tiny little seaside town with not a lot going on. So heading back into London this weekend for Hay House's Ignite conference and a workshop with Jennifer Cain was like WOAH! So much energy!

An Empath is basically just any person who feels all the vibes. You feel other people's vibes and get uber exhausted and stressed out from being around so many other peeps! Or at least until you work out how to protect your own energy!

As an empath, I totally know how it feels to go out shopping on Oxford Street and then needing like a hundred showers and a week under the doona to recover!

But I've discovered so many awesome ways to sort out my energy and my day so I can live in, or visit the big city! I can now totally spend a whole day hanging out at Lush, searching the sale racks at Urban Outfitters and grabbing some lovely ethical beauty bits at Boots!

Protect your energy before you go out

However you do it is totes fine - visualisations, calling on the angels, whatever floats your tug boat. Just make sure you set the intention to be protected from other people's stuff when you're out and about and trust that you totally will be, and you will be!

Crystals!

Obviously you're gonna wanna take some crystals with you right? Pop 'em in your pocket, around your neck, in your bra or in your bag. Or all of the above!

I like to take my more hardcore protective stones on a day out in the big city. Apache Tears, Obsidian, and I also have started keeping a little selenite in my phone case for emergency clearing by just giving it a little rub! :D

Use the mantra - "not my stuff"

Or your version of it.

When someone hits you with their Topshop bag, or barges past you to grab to the last golden egg, remember this is not a reflection on you as a person. This is not your stuff

Aggressive shoppers do not hate you, they do not pick you out of a crowd and think "I hate that chic" and make a beeline towards making your life hell. They are just on a journey that's a bit different. They will be aggressive to you, and the next person, and then the next.

That's not your stuff. How you react is your stuff though.

When someone tries to take your eye out with an umbrella or steps on your converse just say in your head "not my stuff".

Toilet breaks

Going to the toilet is the best. When you start feeling tired, grumpy, stressed or whatever head for the toilets and re-group. I like to go in the cubical and take some deep breaths. Re-do my energetic protection stuff and centre. It makes such a difference!

I highly recommend department store toilets over the ones that you have to pay 30p for. Much nicer vibes.

Headphones

Pop your headphones on and crank some high vibe tunes. A bit of Kylie, Taylor Swift or Chvrches should sort you out.

Be sure to watch out for traffic though! :o

Have a beer with lunch

OK, so this one doesn't sound that woo. But honestly, having a beer with lunch and then doing the shopping certainly makes you less susceptible to bad vibes.

But also remember that for many of us this also blocks your intuition and stuff too, so if you're going crystal shopping, maybe don't have a beer first!

You know, unless beer actually heightens your psychic ability, in which case do what you need to do. *Shrugs!*

Or Find somewhere quiet to eat

If you're not going for a beer and veggie burger, try and find somewhere quiet to eat. There are so many places to eat in the city, but the ones off the main road are usually quieter.

In London there are about a thousand Prets. The food is cheap and good and if you head to one of the stores on the side street they are usually much more chill and haven't run out of cheesy mac with kale!

REMEMBER THE OTHER PEOPLE ON THE STREET ARE NOT YOUR ENEMIES

We can get into this thing where we think we need to protect ourselves so much that we start seeing other people and their stuff as "the enemy". Protect yourself fo'sure, but don't put up so many walls that you miss out on connecting with other humans! Don't close down and miss a chat with the cool chic making your coffee or a chance encounter with a boy in the vintage clothing boutique!

So there you have it! Your Empaths guide to Oxford Street, London! LOL!

Nashville Shadow Work Tarot Spread

Things I love: Nashville, Tarot + a bit of personal development.

Shadow work is not a term I use a lot. Not because I don't do it, but as a "lightworker" I kind of feel like my whole life is shadow work! Shadow work to me is really just looking at our own shit and sorting it out. If you wanna be a lightworker you're not going to get very far by just ignoring your human self stuff and your ego. Shadow work helps us to work with our ego rather than against it, or just ignoring it!

But sorting yourself out does not have to be boring right?!

Nashville has some interesting characters, and you can't really watch it without thinking - OMG these guys so need to do some shadow work.

You can use this spread with any kinds of cards although I find regular ole' Tarot the best for this kind of thing.

You don't need to know the show to use this spread, but I highly recommend checking it out, especially if you're into cute cowboys and country music. I think it's a past life thing for me. Or maybe in a parallel incarnation I'm actually Taylor Swift before she went mainstream. Just a thought.

Word of warning: shadow work is not for the faint of heart. It often kicks your butt and pisses you off before it sets you free. It shines light on all the places where you're being a dick and some people don't dig that kind of thing. Personally I find it quite liberating as long as I'm in the right frame of mind to be doing it.

Don't attempt shadow work on a day when you're feeling sorry for yourself or low vibe.

LAYLA - what dream always evades you?

Poor Layla. She wants to be a big, big star but there's always someone or something holding her back.

This card will shed some light on that big dream of yours that just never seems to get any traction.

WILL - what part of yourself do you hide from the outside world?

Will has spent a lot of time hiding his sexuality from the world, fearing that people won't like him if they know the truth even though I'm pretty sure we all love a gay cowboy with a great voice who looks a hell of a lot like Luke from the OC

This card will show you what part of yourself you're hiding from the outside world.

MADDIE - what big dream are you not quite ready for?

Maddie just really wants to have a recording contract and be the next big thing in Country, but her Mom says she's not ready. Boo!

This card will show you something you're not quite ready for. Doesn't mean it's not going to happen, just not just yet!

REYNA - what are you trying to control?

I love Reyna so much. I mean, her hair right? But she is pretty much a control freak.

What are you trying to control in your life right now that you should probably loosen the reigns on a little?

DEACON - what are you addicted to?

Deacon does a damn good job of dealing with his addictions. How are you doing with yours?

Addictions can be big or small; coffee, Facebook, drama or hard drugs. What's your poison?

JULIETTE - what illusions do you have about your life and your dreams?

Juliette is super famous, and being super famous sometimes gives you some pretty whack ideas about life.

This card will help you discover what illusions you have about  your own life.

JEFF - where are your morals a little sketchy?

Jeff isn't really a bad guy, but he sure does make some pretty ruthless decisions sometimes. Hey, none of us are perfect. Hopefully you're not blackmailing anyone into letting minors sign with your label or getting the police to cover up your almost-lethal pool parties...

But if your morals are a little sketchy in some way, this card will let you know where.

AVERY - what negative thought patterns are holding you back?

I honestly have a big ole' country crush on our boy Avery Barkley, but I don't think I could actually date him. I mean, he's just a bit too much of a brooding downer most of the time. Urgh. Like lighten up a little man!

This card will let you know where you're negativity is holding you back.

SCARLETT - what old dreams need reviving?

One minute she's having a meltdown on stage while playing for a packed out arena, next episode she's singing at the Bluebird! You can always revive old dreams, no matter how stale they are, or how much you swore you'd never do it again!

This card will let you know what old dreams you have that can be revived if you want them!

GUNNAR - where are you wearing your rose coloured glasses?

Gunnar is totes adorbs. He falls in love with every girl he meets and still holds a flame for them all, jumping at the first chance to get back with his ex, or his other ex, or his ex's best friend. It never totally works out for him though. I wonder why hmmm?

This card will help you see where you're wearing those rose coloured glasses in your own life.

So go get your Nashville boxset and a deck of cards and get your shadow work on country style!

If you wanna share your spread on Instagram be sure to use the hashtag #newagehipster so I can find you! Or come chat about your findings in the Facebook group

With love, light and vegan cowboy boots,

Girl Crush Pyjama Party with Fab Giovanetti

Fab Giovanetti is a business strategiest, certified health coach and founder of the super amazing Health Bloggers Community and Health Blog Awards. If you're into health blogging, or even woo woo blogging you're going to want to check her out! Oh, and check out the latest issue of the HBC magazine out today too!

Not only is she a super big deal in the blogging world, she's also a super high vibe soul with a twinkle in her eye and she's a great hugger too! So I was of course totally thrilled when she said she wanted to stop by for some pizza and secretly hoped she'd bring some raw cookies with cashew cream filling! :D

OMG I'm so excited to have you here at my party, how excited are you?!

Oh My, my socks are literally blown away, I am actually trying to catch them before they shoot off!

What kind of music are we going to have at the pyjama party?

We urge to have a PJ playlist - which is my speciality, as you can tell. I’d go for Brit pop, followed by some Classic Rock from the 80s (you know, glam rock, Kiss, Bon Jovi) followed by some Madonna rounding up with some queen B for all the single ladies.

Sounds perfect! :D

I'm going to wear my Hello Kitty PJs, what pyjamas are you going to wear?

My unicorn onesie. ‘Nuff said.

What fun make up or beauty products are in your overnight bag?

Coconut oil, of course. We can use it for our skin, hair, make-up remover, for our face, body…*pour coconut oil over life* Uh, and Lush bath bombs - because they are sparkly and look like rainbows (which is what PJs are about, right?)

Lush bath bombs forever!!

Who does your hair?

Nobody can braid my hair anymore, but I’ll let you dye it of all the colours you want, if that’s a fetish of yours *wink*

LOL! OK, I'm thinking Blueberry?!

And what hairstyle would you have if you could have anything? (I'd totally have an 80's perm!)

I actually do like my hairstyle, maybe a bit more platinum - you can ALWAYS go more platinum!

Where do you get all those cute outfits you’re always wearing?

You mean my endless collection of activewear, or my oh-so-original array of black clothes? AH!

Hey, I think they're cute!

So like, how do you make money to pay for those cool pyjamas and all your awesome clothes and make up and stuff?

I have a community of awesome bloggers who I help daily via a magazine, online courses and live events - as well as getting them in touch with the best up and coming brands in town. I also set up Awards, to be precise, That Protein & HBC Health Blog Awards - unfortunately they are not celebrating me as much as the bloggers - that wold be a bit too pretentious, wouldn’t it?

How did you get that job?

By starting endless businesses, trying plenty of options, and listening carefully to what people wanted! It is a fun ride, but I am more than happy to ride along *innuendo*.

What fun stuff do you like doing on school nights?

Watching Netflix - ahem, binge watching - reading books (fiction is a big passion of mine), making chocolate, going out with the girls, drawing. Basically, I am still 15.

I am still 15 also! LOL!

How about on the weekend?

I like to chill, have brunch. squish in a workout or two, walk a lot (everywhere), lie in (ahem, 8 o-clock counts, right?) and go to amazing events with my babes.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Inspiration for others and for myself, someone who can gather hundreds of people and let them be their authentic selves. Uh, and of course I want to become a little strong beefcake.

I'm getting hungry, what's your favourite pyjama party food and beverages?

Peanut Butter. Literally everywhere. On everything. Drink-wise, I can go either for a Virgin Mary (who thought I could fall in love with tomato juice?) or a good, old G&T.

Favourite pizza topping?

I am Italian, so I like it simple: garlic, tomato, anchovies and rosemary. Give me pineapple and ham, and you are dead to me.

*Puts pineapple away*

What movies and TV shows are we going to watch?

I would love to watch an horror movie, but probably you’d kick me out straight away! So bring it on Buffy, Dr. Who, and Firefly.

Do you have a favourite teen movie?!

Breakfast Club. Always.

Breakfast Club forever!

OMG what was that noise?! :O Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever seen one?

Yup, but no worries…I know who we’re going to call *ghostbusters*

Have you ever had any other cool paranormal encounters?

No, but I do see angel numbers (aka repeating numbers) all the time. I am an empath, so I do attract all sort of crazy stuff!

Me too babe, Me too...

What do you think happens when we die?

Karma, life has no end, and I do believe our souls are there to support who comes next.

Who do you think you were in a past life?

Someone who really struggled finding their own identity, and was looking for themselves in others. Potentially a fairy, too.

Oh I so see you as a fairy!

What time do you usually go to bed?

Between ten and eleven - what a granny.

I got at like, 9! LOL!

What should we do tomorrow?

Brunch!

Who's your girl crush?!

Ruby Rose - I even have the same haircut!

Because you are so girl-crush-worthy probably lots of other girls and boys are going to want you at their pyjama parties too. How can they find you?!

Hey you, stranger! Come and join me at www.fabgiovanetti.com where you can find plenty more of this whole shenanigan, as well as crazy tips, tools and support through the www.healthbloggerscommunity.com Gimme a shout on Instagram or Twitter at @fabgiovanetti for some serious dance moves too!

Fab it's been unreal having you over! Please come back anytime! :D (and bring more of those cookies!)

With love and light!

Throwing Light on The Three of Swords

What's a lightworker to do when faced with the Three of Swords in a reading? :O

It came up this week in the Weekly Reading and so I got to thinking about how it can make us a little freaked out.

Death, the Tower and this guy are probably the last cards I want to see in a reading, honestly.

But I do really think people freak out way more about the Three of Swords than they need to

I'll admit, three swords sticking through a heart does look pretty bad. But let's throw some light on this heart-breaker and have a look at what else this card can mean when it gets turned over in your reading. #NoMoreFreakOuts! x

Healing

One of my favourite ways to look at this card is that it's about healing.

I read reversals and so reversed it's even more healing - the swords are coming out! Wheee!

But even upright there is a lot of healing energy in this card.

You've been hurt, we can see that. But ask any human being on the planet if they've ever been hurt and guess what? We've all had a few (or more!) Three of Swords moments in our lives.

Not everyone opens up their heart to healing however, but you will, and you'll be back to yourself in no time because of it.

Let your heart take some time for healing.

It's a great excuse to watch a lot of Adam Sandler rom coms and eat stupid amounts of ice-cream. See? Suddenly already not so bad!

Coping

You know how you read those stories about someone who got a metal pole stuck through their body, but they walked around for ages and seemed totally fine (OK, definitely not "fine", but you know, they were able to function) before they got it out?

Seeing the swords in there is almost like hey you, you're actually going through this incredibly difficult thing, but you're sitting here doing a reading, or getting your cards read.

You're totally coping, and that's pretty incredible.

Power + Strength

You've got swords in your heart and you're still getting on with your life.

Holy woah, you're a powerful and strong being!

Honestly, a lot of people are the Nine of Swords at this point.

You're stronger than you think you are you know.

The Three of Swords chic from the Starchild Tarot is totally rocking her own power! x

The Three of Swords chic from the Starchild Tarot is totally rocking her own power! x

Feeling your feelings

My good friend Louise Androlia is always talking about how we need to feel our feelings. She's so totally right of course (because she always is).

When you pull the Three of Swords it's totally OK to flip out like - OMG I'm STABBED IN THE HEEEARRRRRT!

Ball your eyes out, throw stuff, get really drunk and do stupid dance moves and flirt with really inappropriate men (don't go  home with them though), go watch Heartland (honestly can't stop obsessing over Heartland #SorryNotSorry) and do whatever else you need to do.

Feel that shit. Really feel it and don't censor your feelings.

You'll feel so much better when you do.

Self Love + Self Care

Too often this card isn't about heartbreak at all, but about you not looking after yourself.

Stress, anxiety, guilt, it's not good for your heart honey.

When you see this card take it as a sign to look after yourself and your energy.

Ask yourself when you see it "what do I really need right now?" Make sure you follow the guidance you get.

Remember treating yourself mean doesn't keep anyone keen

Remember what comes next

In numbers, four comes after three, and in Tarot the Four of Swords comes after the Three of Swords.

The Four of Swords is all about taking a rest and chilling out and making time for yourself.

Sleeping in, having a duvet day. Letting go of guilt and remembering you're awesome so it's OK to give yourself a break.

There's no reason at all why you can't start bringing that energy in right now!

This is my favourite Four of Swords AKA Duvet Day from the Russian Tarot of St. Petersburg x

This is my favourite Four of Swords AKA Duvet Day from the Russian Tarot of St. Petersburg x

So next time the Three of Swords comes up, instead of freaking out, give yourself a great big hug. Remember you're awesome for getting through your stuff and then reach for the ice-cream, get comfy on the couch and do what you gotta do.

With love, light and heart healing vibes!

Girl Crush Pyjama Party with Diana Cooper

Diana Cooper is one of my favourite spiritual teachers on the planet right now and a New Age Hipster way ahead of her time (or are we just way behind?)!

I've read a bunch of her books on Angels and Ascension, meditated to her guided meditations and had the immense pleasure and joy seeing her speak and lead us through spiritual exercises for Ascension at the I Can Do It conference last year in London and so when she said she was popping over for a PJ party I nearly jumped out of my sleeping bag!

Diana's energy is so high vibe that you could easily be mistaken for thinking that in her presence you've walked into some kind of Atlantean Healing Temple (or maybe that's just where you recognise her from)!

If you want to find out more about Diana's work and learn How The Angels Can Help You be sure to check out her new online course which is only a tenner right now, and worth so, so much more. I'm signed up and absolutely loving it!

OK! Now on with the partay! :D

What kind of music should we have at this party?

I’m of the Buddy Holly era and I still love that music. It gets everyone moving!

What favourite make up or beauty products are in your overnight bag?

You should really be asking my 13 year old granddaughter. She is the make up queen. I always have moisturiser, then Lancome foundation and powder and blusher. I put my eyeshadow on with my finger which apparently is terrible. I was told by a Lancome assistant that their products were never tested on animals, but according to the internet the ingredients are tested on animals but not the end product. I think that’s a cop out. So I will be replacing my make up with Lush or another make that definitely does not test any part of their product on animals.

i agree, it's so important to know where our beauty products are coming from, start to finish.

Who does your hair?

I go to a hairdresser’s home because I can take my dog.

And what hairstyle would you have if you could have anything (I'd have a big poodle perm!)?

Oh cool, long blonde straight hair that never needed any attention. Unfortunately that would look terrible on me!

Where do you get all those amazing outfits you’re always wearing?

If I see a colourful top I run in and buy it!

How do you make money to pay for all these things? What’s your job?

I write books about all sorts of spiritual subjects and record CD’s so I receive royalties and I give seminars all over the world. I also have an angel correspondence course and some short on line video courses.

How did you get that job?

After an angel visitation I trained to be a hypnotherapist and set up in practice. Because I worked with angels and guides I attracted people they could connect with. So my work (or joy as I prefer to think of it) evolved from one to one, to groups, to workshops to international seminars and conferences. It has progressed over thirty years one step at a time.

What fun things do you like doing on school/work nights?

Having friends round. Sometimes we eat, watch DVD’s, do spontaneous drawings, read the cards.

Favourite ways to spend the weekend?

First a long walk with my dog, Venus. Then lying in a hammock in the hot sun with friends or family popping round.

Sounds pretty good to me!

Favourite party food and beverages?

Smoked salmon and champagne.

Favourite pizza topping?

Very boring I’m afraid. I always order a Marguerita.

Favourite movies and TV shows?

Top of my list is a really old one. Sister Act takes a lot of beating. I love films where someone does something courageous and special and wins through, especially if it is inspirational. So another oldie is Saving Grace. The Hundred Foot Journey has lots of message. I adored Avatar.

I do watch TV police dramas like Endeavour but prefer series like Cranford or Lark Rise to Candleford that unfold gently and you learn a great deal. Cesar Milan is wonderful! He has a great personality and I constantly find out what I have done wrong in training my dog.

Sister act is one of my all time faves too!

Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever seen one?

Ghosts are the spirits of those who have not passed properly. Yes I have seen many. There was an old lady in my house when I moved in. I used to see her peeping out of the window when I arrived home. She didn’t want to leave but some friends and I persuaded her it was time to pass over properly. She came back and thanked us.

We also had a spirit dog in my home for a while, a naughty Jack Russell, and he led my dog, Venus astray. Until I persuaded him to leave he constantly influenced Venus to escape from the garden. Once that spirit dog had returned to the light Venus never tried to escape again.

Have you ever had any other cool paranormal encounters?

I’ve met angels, and unicorns and dragons and Illumined masters. One of my favourites was when I walked with my daughter in the forest, pushing my three week old granddaughter in her pram. We turned a corner and there were fairies, elves, goblins, pixies and a whole array of elementals sitting on the bank waiting for us. They wanted to see the baby. My daughter agreed and the elementals formed a line and one by one jumped onto the pram and gave her a blessing. The little creatures were so excited because they rarely get to meet a human baby.

I haven’t had any scary paranormal encounters but I have heard angels and elementals singing my name, which was incredibly beautiful and healing.

That sounds incredible, I love the elementals.

What do you think happens when we die?

It depends on your beliefs. Everyone goes through a life review but this may happen at different stages according to your levels of awareness. Those who have entrenched religious beliefs go to a place where they are given what they expect. This is to lessen the shock of finding out that there is a higher spiritual perspective. Those who have no beliefs are gradually opened up. Those who are very sick may go to spirit hospital for healing. Those who ascend are met by glorious Archangels and welcomed with joy. Everyone eventually returns to their home planet to be debriefed and prepared for the next stage of their soul journey.

Oh I resonate with that explanation so much!

Who do you think you were in a past life?

I have had many past lives as a warrior and can be quite martial. I have also had several as a nun. And my most important one was in Golden Atlantis as a High Priestess.

What time do you usually go to bed?

About 11.

Who’s your girl crush? Who are some women that you really admire?

I really admire Mother Amma, known as the hugging mother, who has dedicated her life to spiritual service. I stayed in her ashram many years ago and was impressed by her joy and lightness, despite the fact that she takes in so much of people’s karma.

I think J.K. Rowling is fantastic. She must have been so prepared before this incarnation to bring through such an amazing piece of work as Harry Potter. And I love the way she handles her wealth and fame with such common sense.

Then there is Aung San Suu Kyi who has undergone relentless imprisonment but always upheld her principles. Such courage.

Also Judy Dench who always gives her best. I once heard her say that she walks into the studio, a tall leggy blonde and comes out on the film as a short old pygmy. That seemed such a human statement.

How can people find you so that they can invite you to their parties too?

www.dianacooper.com

Thank you so much Diana for coming over! It was such an honour and a joy to have you, come back any time! :D

With so much love and light!

Girl Crush Pyjama Party with Ollie Neveu

Ollie Neveu is a writer, artist, coach, mentor and fur mamma my go to gal when it comes to all things fluffy! She's a totally awesome spiritual channel for the animal kingdom and runs the most amazing animal healing circles once a fortnight that anyone (human or animal!) can join. Ollie is high vibe to the max, super intuitive and just gosh darn lovely too!

So grab yourself a tall glass of chocolate mylk and come hang out with us at the PJ party! :D

OMG I'm so excited to have you here at my party, how excited are you OLLIE?!

So excited! I’ve also brought my greyhound Guru Dog Neve along, I hope that’s ok? She’s totally good with cats. And by good with cats I mean - she’s terrified of them lol.

She's so welcome! Zorro is scared of mice so they'll make a good pair!

What kind of music are we going to have at the pyjama party?

Stevie Nicks obviously. Michael Jackson always. All the best 90s stuff. Jamiroquai. Backstreet Boys. Maybe some Disney classics soundtrack for sing-a-longs? Also - we can roo with Neve!

I'm going to wear my Hello Kitty PJs, what pyjamas are you going to wear?

Nice! (Did you know she’s not even a cat? Mind blown!) I will be wearing one of my husbands old tshirts, some extra large and extra comfy pj pants, socks AND slippers because I got cold feet. My personal motto is “If you’re not snug - you’re dead”. I take comfort seriously. Plus a kimono. Because always yes to the kimono. Guru Dog Nevie will be wearing her hot pink dressing gown which used to be a blanket. Greyhounds wear pjs too - it’s a thing.

What fun make up or beauty products are in your overnight bag?

Coconut oil! Slather that shit everywhere! (Not the face though, I’m one of those sad people who can’t use it on the face). Also bentonite clay which I am obsessed with. We can make face masks or poultices or clay snowmen! And a toothbrush and toothpaste for Nevie because you don’t want to deal with her morning breath (sorry Neve!)

Who does your hair?

Define ‘does’ lol.  Basically it  grows out of my scalp and sometimes I wash it. I let it does what it wants generally.  If I am feeling fancy I will brush it. I learnt a long time ago that I’m too lazy for hair ‘doings’ unfortunately. Nevie’s fur is all naturale too. We’ve accepted the grey that’s come up in the past year. She still looks pretty good for 11 though right?

And what hairstyle would you have if you could have anything? (I'd totally have an 80's perm!)

Yaas 80s perm! I’m feeling similarly inclined. I’ve always wanted like a really good ‘fro. Hats would be impossible, but I’m willing to sacrifice head wear fashion for the best ‘fro ever!

Where do you get all those cute outfits you’re always wearing?

Actually - a lot of my wardrobe comes from Ebay these days. There’s some good stuff on there, and I love the thrill of the auction! Way better than lining up at H&M. Or otherwise - my husband’s side of the closet.

So like, how do you make money to pay for those cool pyjamas and all your awesome clothes and make up and stuff?

Well asides from the stuff I steal from my husband, I can buy things because people pay me to do cool stuff.  Like writing and partnering with animals to support them with their mission on the planet - which is to help us to come home to ourselves and find the peace our souls once knew. Plus I do animal communication and healing sessions too. It’s a pretty sweet deal.

Sounds incredible! How did you get that job?

Well I was an accountant. That didn’t work out. I ended up having an emotional and physical breakdown because it was so way off base from what my heart wanted me to do. And the only thing that would bring light into my life during this dark period of my life - was watching YouTube videos of pug dogs (true story!). I decided I needed a dog of my own to show me how to find joy everyday, and that’s how Neve came into our lives. She opened my heart to the sacred soul connection I have with animals, that I had ignored for so many years. I decided to follow my heart for a bit, and we all ended up in London, where I now get to do all this amazing stuff by sharing animal wisdom!

What fun stuff do you like doing on school nights?

Nevie and I miss my husband when he’s at work, so school nights are all about family time, eating a home cooked meal and watching some kind of something on Netflix.

How about on the weekend?

Right now we are living in the city, which gets quite overwhelming at the best of times. So in the weekends we try to get out to one of the big parks like Hampstead Heath to chill in nature and recharge our souls. And make new doggie friends!

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Someone with all the rescue animals she can possibly fit into her patch of land. It’s pretty inevitable I’m going to end up living on a farm with a rag tag bunch of wonky animals one day. And I’m totally down with that. My husbands sort of accepted it. He could be in denial.

I'm getting hungry, what's your favourite pyjama party food and beverages?

Rebel Kitchen Chocolate Mylk for sure, with the little straws because that’s just so much more fun to drink out of. Snacks is anything Booja Booja makes, in chocolate flavour of course. And peanut almond popcorn...which we could dip in chocolate vegan ice cream! Just cover me in chocolate basically.  Neve will snack on some banana please (she’s way more healthy than me!)

Favourite pizza topping?

Tomato sauce base, re fried beans, mushroom, avocado, peppers (not hot ones), spinach! Yum.

Re fried beans??!

What movies and TV shows are we going to watch?

Game of Thrones! And then to recover from the trauma, Arrested Development to lighten the mood. Then Gilmore Girls to swoon over Jess and hopefully see him in our dreams! (Just me?). Maybe Lassie for Guru Dog Nevie?

Do you have a favourite teen movie?!

10 Things I Hate About You! Oh the feels.

OMG what was that noise?! :O Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever seen one?

It might have been Neve. Sorry! I do believe in ghosts. I don’t think I’ve seen one. Unless they look like totally normal people, then how do I know I haven’t walked past one in the street?

Have you ever had any other cool paranormal encounters?

I’ve seen some weird lights in the sky sometimes that may or may not be from something that’s not a human plane? Other than that - just like spirit animals talking to me and stuff. Regular things, you know.

just regular old spirit animals, uh huh!

What do you think happens when we die?

Our souls return to where ever they came from, and figure out if they have more stuff to learn. If they do, back to Earth School for you! But also your soul can stick around to help people in your family etc, to be their spirit guide. At the same time. It’s not linear. That’s what I think anyway. How bout I let you know if I die first!

I know we are never really gone though. My childhood cat Taffeta spent years trying to tell me that through dreams. Only took me about 10 years to get the message lol !! I guess when you die you become extremely patient...

Who do you think you were in a past life?

I’ve done a lot of living, but one that stands out to me most is being a Central American woman in charge of the herd of paint horses that belonged to the tribe, but also were traded and sold to other people. That’s probably because I really would love a pony to cuddle in this life time!! You know, aside from my mini pony Nevie.

What time do you usually go to bed?

10.30pm ish. We’re not ravers, we enjoy sleep. Especially Neve. She sleeps 18 hours a day!

What should we do tomorrow?

We have to go to the beach please, we love the ocean. Also...are there ponies around here? Can we go stalk some maybe? And let’s get more chocolate, because I’m pretty sure the stuff for tonight wont last!

chocolate and ponies sounds good to me!

Who's your girl crush?!

Oh like asides from Stevie Nicks? Kris Carr for sure! Also Amy Poehler, I think she’s wonderful!

Because you are so girl-crush-worthy probably lots of other girls and boys are going to want you at their pyjama parties too. How can they find you?!

Yay new friends! Tell me you love pugs and we can be bffs forever!

Thanks so much for coming to my party Ollie! I hope we can do this in real life sometime! :D

Girl Crush Pyjama Party with Ebonie Allard

DING DONG! OMG! Ebonie Allard is at the door! Eeeeeeep! :O

Ebonie is one of the coolest chics I know. She's an Entrepreneur Enabler, inspirational leader to the self proclaimed misfits, a kick ass coach and author of a brand new book Misfit to Maven. So go grab a slice of mushroom pizza and a glass of fizzy water and come hang out!

OMG I'm so excited to have you here at my party, how excited are you?!

Er, SO excited – I bloody love sleepovers they’re my absolute fav!!

What kind of music are we going to have at the pyjama party?

I’m gurl crushing on Hemsley right now, but I love all sorts from Led Zeplin to Bieber – Let’s do that thing where we You Tube DJ and play one song each in turn and see which hilarious sing-along gems we uncover!?

I'm going to wear my Hello Kitty PJs, what pyjamas are you going to wear?

I’m just wearing an old beat up oversized band t-shirt and a pair of pyjama shorts – I love your Hello Kitty jim jams tho – they’re proper cuuuute!

What fun make up or beauty products are in your overnight bag?

I have 4 different black eyeliners, a YSL blusher with gorgeous sparkles, a new perfume I’m LOVING right now called ‘Red Always’ by Elizabeth Arden, it’s sooooo good!

I have such a random overnight bag – I’ve also got a nail file, a womens balance essential oil blend, bath bombs from Lush and my Arbonne night cream.

Who does your hair?

A lovely guy called Alex at a Salon in Brighton called Neon, before him I went to a gorgeous lady called Sarah – I sometimes do it myself – I change my hair up A LOT, I like to have it match my mood, so I have a team of patient specialist waiting in the wings for when I f*#k it up!

And what hairstyle would you have if you could have anything? (I'd totally have an 80's perm!)

I think I’ve had most colours and styles, OMG an 80’s perm would totally look amazing on you!!  I’d like it super long again, you know like a mermaid - but my hair is so thick it ends up taking me half an hour just to wash it!

Where do you get all those cute outfits you’re always wearing?

You know what, I recently got rid of nearly everything, so now I have a capsule wardrobe containing black, black and some more black. It’s so awesome – everything matches!!

I did keep a few interesting vintage dresses! I like to get bits at bootfair’s or off ebay. Really I’m still a bit of a goff at heart but like to let there be a splash of colour in my accessories and hair.

So like, how do you make money to pay for those cool pyjamas and all your awesome clothes and make up and stuff?

I wrote a book called ‘Misfit to Maven – from ARGH to AHHH’ and I have two sets of oracle cards; one set of wisdom cards with affirmations on them and one set of really good question cards to get you thinking – which people can buy on my website.

I spend most of my time coaching misfit entrepreneurs to have lives as extraordinary as they are, that feel as good on the inside as they look on the outside. I work with people one to one and I also have a signature intensive coaching programme called ‘Misfit to Maven in 80 Days’ where people can get a lot of coaching from me and learn from workbooks and swipefiles and be a part of an incredible community.

How did you get that job?

I have been an entrepreneur my whole life. I used to make and sell greetings cards when I was at school – I’ve done all sorts since then, but for a long time I didn’t have the mindset or the tools to go with my creative mind.

What fun stuff do you like doing on school nights?

I often coach my clients on school nights or go to my favourite kundalini yoga class. I love to read a good book or hang out and watch movies with my friends.

How about on the weekend?

I like to go on mini adventures, near or far, alone or with a friend. Walks in the countryside or a roadtrip or I cook up a storm and feed everyone really tasty homemade grub!

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to be kind.

Honestly, I have pretty much everything I’ve ever wanted. I’m pretty proud of the balance of grown up and naive I actually am. As long as I keep playing everyday and am able to be kickass and kind, I’m happy!

I'm getting hungry, what's your favourite pyjama party food and beverages?

PIZZA and maybe wine, or fizzy water – I'm weird I LOVE sparkling water!

OMG Sparkling water is my life! Favourite pizza topping?

You know what I love everything! But I’m a huge fan of mushrooms, capers, extra cheese and a handful of rocket on the top. yep, I know – but don’t knock it til you’ve tried it!

I'm so trying that! What movies and TV shows are we going to watch?

I love a good detective show, I’m a huge fan of the ones with a good characterful detective in them – Misdsomer Murders, Death in Paradise, Columbo, True Detective, Sherlock, Dexter – But if you’d rather go girlie I can always handle a good rom com.

How about some Murder She Wrote? Do you have a favourite teen movie?!

Pump up the Volume or The Lost Boys!! ooooh, can we watch them back to back?

YES! Sounds amazing... OMG what was that noise?! :O Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever seen one?

I believe in spirit but I’m more of a ‘feeler’ than a seer. I often ‘feel’ spirits around. That said did see the ghost of a stagehand sweeping at central School of Speech and Drama when I was painting the stage floor late at night, before I had been told the story about him!!

Have you ever had any other cool paranormal encounters?

Yes. Well, I dunno – is knowing when someone is going to call or using ESP to find people and places paranormal?

Some people reading this probably think that's "normal"! What do you think happens when we die?

We go for an ‘exit interview’ and reflect on the soul contracts and the learning that we decided to make before we came into this human experience and decide what’s next. I believe that our souls have lived for many lifetimes and choose time and again to have a human / animal / earthly experience.

Who do you think you were in a past life?

Weird you should say that – I’ve just been thinking that I’d like to explore this more but until very recently I wasn’t sure it mattered, so haven’t ever thought much about it.

What time do you usually go to bed?

I like to be in bed about 10pm to read and close out the day before going to sleep by 11pm.

What should we do tomorrow?

Lets go for a walk in the countryside and watch nature waking up. I love being outside and noting the seasonal changes whilst getting a huge dose of fresh air!

Sounds fab! Now, who's your girl crush?!

I have SO many… Juliette Lewis, Joan Jett, Shirley Manson, Gwen Stefani, Danielle La Porte, Alyson Hannigan, Frida Karlo, Marylin Monroe, Alanis Morrissette, Helen Mirren, Adele  – I could go and go… I crush easily and often!

Because you are so girl-crush-worthy probably lots of other girls and boys are going to want you at their pyjama parties too. How can they find you?!

10 Spiritual Practices for Everyday Awesomeness

It's not that easy to create and stick to a daily spiritual practice. It takes a lot of time to work out what works for you, and sometimes a whole lot of butt kicking to get you to actually do it every day.

But I don't believe that a spiritual practice should be a chore. I've tried a lot of different things on my spiritual journey so far and I must admit I tend to gravitate towards the ones that are easy, enjoyable and bring the best results with minimal fuss

So here are 10 spiritual practices for you to pop into your daily routine to help you maintain your general awesomeness with ease

1. Protect Your Energy

As sensitives and empaths it's so important that we protect our energy. Visualise yourself in a bubble, call on Archangel Micheal and/or grab your favourite protective crystal before you head out the door.

My totally free e-book How to Stay Shiny has a bunch more info on how to protect your energy! Grab it here

2. Ground Your Energy

To avoid floating off with the fairies and other feelings of ungroundedness, make sure you ground yourself every day.

One of my favourite ways to do this is through Yoga. I have a non-negotiable daily Yoga practice. Sometimes that means a good 45 mins hanging out with Adriene. Some days it's just five minutes doing a couple of cat cows and some downward dogs. Moving your body is uber important! There's more grounding tips here

A morning Yoga + Tarot session with the Angel Prayers deck and the Fountain Tarot x

3. Talk to Angels + Connect with your Guides

Chatting to those who are helping you from the other side is actually pretty easy. All you have to do is open your mouth and talk! Tell them what's on your mind and ask for their help.

When I was commuting into London from Reading every day I used my shower and driving time to chat to my team. You don't have to do an hour long meditation to connect with your guides and angels, a quick check in when you pop to the loo is just as good sometimes!

4. Use your intuition

Don't ignore nudges from the universe, it's seriously not worth it! I can honestly say that pretty much all of the success I've had in my life is because I acted on those nudges!

5. Notice the signs

Signs are everywhere. Be open to them. A playing card on the ground, a billboard with a message that feels like it's just for you, an overheard conversation or song lyrics that just hit you where you live.

Divine guidance can and does come from Spotify playlists, Facebook posts and bus numbers

6. Pull a card

Using cards has been a gateway for me into developing my intuition and getting super woo woo. If you have a deck (or many!) try making it an every day thing!

Do a full reading for yourself with candles and incense, or just put them beside your bed and pull one last thing at night. Carry a deck around in your bag, or use your iPhone app! Galaxy Tarot is fab, and I have the Tarot of the Holy Light on my iPhone for when I'm out and about or stuck on public transport.

If you're in the market for your first deck check out my deck reviews on YouTube! Or, even better, just go with what you're drawn to!

7. Be nice

This should probably really be number one on this list. Being nice to other people is the ultimate spiritual practice.

If you're being a jerk or a grumble bum it doesn't matter how much of this other stuff you do. Some days it's hard to be high vibe, and that's totally OK, but you can still try to be nice to people. Of course you should always stand in your power, but basically; don't be a dick

8. Play with crystals

Crystals are so fun and carrying your fave one in your pocket, or wearing something super shiny on your person can have powerful effects!

I've used smokey quartz to help me out in negative environments, amazonite to boost my confidence and howlite for some awesome calming vibes. Get thee to a crystal shop and find the stones that feel good!

Amazonite is awesome for confidence + following your life path! x

9. Be in gratitude + be present

When you're in gratitude your vibe raises so much.

Write down three things before bed you're grateful for that day. Tell the universe, your guides and angels how grateful you are for the things you have, the people in your life and most of all, don't forget to be grateful for who you are and everything that you've done and are going to do.

Being in gratitude is an awesome way to stay in the present moment. It makes you stop and notice exactly where you are and how awesome it is to be right here, right now!

10. Clear your Energy

At the end of the day or whenever you need to, make sure you always clear your energy. You can do this in so many ways. Taking a shower, visualisations or working with Archangel Micheal are all good ways to clear yourself ready for another day of spiritual awesomenss!

You really just have to find what works for you, but it's actually easier than you think to incorporate spiritual practices that are going to work with your lifestyle into your day!

Girl Crush Pyjama Party with Lisa Lister!

Lisa Lister is the gorgeous Goddess Creatrix of The Sassy She, author of Code Red: Know your flow, unlock your monthly super powers and create a bloody amazing life. Period., and general 'defender of female awesomeness'.

So when she said she was popping over for some nachos and a a movie I totally flipped out! :D

OMG Lisa, I'm so excited to have you here at my party, how excited are you?!

SUPER-excited! As an introverted extrovert, this is my PERFECT party. I love PJs + I love you, so right now, this is best combo EVER.

What kind of music are we going to have at the pyjama party?

Take That’s Greatest Hits, obvz. Taylor Swift - again, obvz. Then we’ll need a girls with guitars interlude, I’m thinking The Staves, Sia, old school Alanis ‘Head Over Feet, then I’ll get all reminiscent for 90s indie rock and how I thought I was Louise Weiner from Sleeper, then I’ll remember that actually I REALLY loved 90’s boybands so we’ll sing classic after classic at the top of our voices air grabbing and getting off stools at the key change, ‘k?

That sounds better than OK! Especially Take That’s Greatest Hits! LOL!

I'm going to wear my Hello Kitty PJs, what pyjamas are you going to wear?

Nice choice, I’m going for a leopard-print lounge suit. I may mix it up with a pair of gold hoops + work it like JLo.

What fun make up or beauty products are in your overnight bag?

Ohhh my make up bag is FULL. There is a whole lot o’ Kat Von D goodness in there – I am obsessed by her + her make up range, you will find at least three tubes of Backstage Bambi lip paint, because I get palpitations that I might lose one.  I’ve got Jo Malone Fig + Cassius perfume, a tube of carmex, and six varying shades of red nail varnish.

K, I’m totes borrowing one of your lip paints! :D Who does your hair?

I’ve been growing out my pin-up girl fringe that I’ve had for YEARS + I’ve just got past that ‘gringe’ phase (grown-out fringe) and I’m craving the short bangs again – what’s a girl to do? Shall we cut it? How are you with a pair of scissors, Vix?

I’ve been cutting my own hair for years, I’m even better at it after a drink or two…

what hairstyle would you have if you could have anything? (I'd totally have an 80's perm!)

YES! You’d really work a 80’s perm, so if you’re going to cut me a fringe, I think I’d love victory rolls to match with some obscenely huge floral accessories ala Frida Kahlo. Failing that, I’m thinking a Joan Jet style late 70’s rock mullet!

I’ve been thinking about a mullet too, we could re-vive something here…

where do you get all those cute outfits you’re always wearing?

The 50’s dresses are mostly from Lady Vintage + Get Cutie as they take into account that some girls have hips + asses – hurrah for them! The black outfits of which there are 2,9887950 – because this witch wears black a LOT - are my life work + have been collected from everywhere between Marc Jacobs + Sainsbury’s Tu collection.

I too have some pieces from the Sainbsury’s Tu collection!

So like, how do you make money to pay for those cool pyjamas and all your awesome clothes and make up and stuff?

I’m a writer, I’ve written for magazines both here + in the US, I’ve written a teen book self-esteen series for HarperCollins + I’ve recently signed with Hay House to publish Love Your Lady Landscape out July 4th and WITCH out Nov 1st – which I’m VERY excited about.

I’m a lady-parts health practitioner (menstrual, fertility + reproductive health) + I work with women to crack their lady code, reconnect with their SHE Power + love their lady landscape. I’m chief creatrix at www.thesassyshe.com + founder of the SHE Flow system; a personal invite to celebrate the fiercely feminine, sensual pleasure of being a woman through sacred feminine movement, womb + menstrual massage, ancient rituals + lady magic.

WOW! That’s quite the CV! So how did you get that job?

I’ve been a writer since…FOREVER. My first proper job was at a teen magazine called Just Seventeen, I then went on to become an agony aunt at Mizz Magazine, all the while was having crazy bad menstrual pain + heavy bleeding. After years of misdiagnosis, was told that I had a Endometriosis, a gnarly down-there dis-ease that I knew NOTHING about. The doctor told me I wouldn’t be able to have kids and that my only option was to have my entire reproductive system ‘whipped out’ – this led to what’s been a 11 year exploration of my own lady landscape, an unlocking of feminine super powers, learning a variety of ancient + modern healing modalities, the power of reconnecting with our pelvis and a super loud call from SHE/the divine feminine/my spiritual homegirl to share what I’ve learned + experienced with ladykind.

And ladykind thanks you!

What fun stuff do you like doing on school nights?

Ohhh I HATE going to bed later than 10.30pm so ideally, extra curricular activities happen before 9pm! Right now I go to Astro school + learn all things astrology from star-dude David Wells, I cuddle, kiss + date my hot Viking husband a lot, I like to draw + create in the evening (I’m working on a new set of SASSY SHE oracle cards!) on Friday evenings when everyone else is going out drinking, I go to the Viking’s Yoga Nidra class in Southsea, where I get to drop deep into yogic sleep, chant + breathe well – best medicine ever.

Sounds pretty perfect to me! How about on the weekend?

I like to get out in nature, so either a stomp in the forest or a trip to the seaside are my go-to favourite ways to spend a weekend, I do also like a roadtrip. The Viking and I are the best couple to roadtrip with, we make playlists, pack the best snacks (we have a M+S at the end of our road so we always have posh snacks, put a pin in a map and drive! We’ve discovered castles, stone circles, crazy toy museums and everything in between!

OK I think me and Mr New Age Hipster are gonna suggest a double date road trip!

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Ha! Growing up is over-rated, I reckon. Do you know what? I’m actually really bloody happy right now, I’m doing work I love –some days I write in my PJs, other days I get to massage wombs, other days I mentor + coach, host workshops + retreats + other days I get to go to swanky events and wear pretty shoes.
Life is sweet. I’m creative, I travel, I kiss a Viking daily – I don’t know if that means I’m grown up, but I do know that I LOVE it!

I'm getting hungry, what's your favourite pyjama party food and beverages?

Ohhh, dim sum. ALL THE DIM SUM.

Favourite pizza topping?

Cheese, tuna + sweetcorn – ohhhh yeah, I went there.

nomZ!! What movies and TV shows are we going to watch?

We’ll make magharitas + watch Practical Magic, we’ll put on black lipstick + pretend we’re in The Craft, I’m also thinking we can put Charmed re-runs on while we talk because we’ve already seen every episode, right?

Charmed forever! :D Do you have a favourite teen movie?!

CLUELESS. Clueless is EVERYTHING.

OMG what was that noise?! :O Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever seen one?

I absolutely believe in spirit, but no I’ve never seen a ghost. Spirit comes to visit me all the time but I tell them not to show themselves to me as I’d freak out – it’s hilarious isn’t it? I’m a feeler. I feel energy, and spirit speaks through me, but I genuinely think I’d freak out if I actually saw it!

What do you think happens when we die?

That light we see? I think it’s the vagina opening birthing us into our next experience. I mean, I really believe that. The body I chose this lifetime + when I say ‘I’, I don’t mean Lisa with the cool tattoos and an ability to accessorise, I mean the one that’s behind all that, the one that takes a body each lifetime to learn + grow, is simply a vessel to experience the cycle of life in human form at this time. Death is simply us being done with this body + it’s learning this lifetime.

Who do you think you were in a past life?

Well, I’m always pissed that I WASN’T Cleopatra, but I’ve been told I was one of her hand maidens + a temple priestess by people I’ve had readings with. I only had my first regression quite recently, + I was in a woman’s body in Palastine at the beginning of the first millennia, I wore a red cloak and my tongue was cut so clearly I was saying stuff people thought I shouldn’t – no change there then!

What time do you usually go to bed?

10.30pm, but this is a sleepover so we’re absolutely going to drink gin and talk til 3am, right?

I’m going to try to stay up until at least 11pm! :D

What should we do tomorrow?

Let’s go get a really yummy breakfast together, talk esoteric to each other for hours + then walk arm in arm along the beach. If there is a workshop we can take together – I love a Saturday afternoon workshop – we should totally do that.

Who's your girl crush?!

OHMYSTARS, I have a gazillion. Frida Kahlo, Lena Denham, Mary Magdalene, Joan Jett, Caitlin Moran, Cleopatra, Cher from Clueless, Taylor Swift. I have the big love for Tay-tay.

Because you are so girl-crush-worthy probably lots of other girls and boys are going to want you at their pyjama parties too. How can they find you?!

10 Things to do with affirmation Cards

I love coming up with quirky new things to do with my card decks. There is so much more to using your cards than just doing the ole' daily draw!

If you're in the market for an affirmation deck you can't go past the Miracles Now deck by Gabby Bernstein! I'm a huge fan and super excited about her London gigs coming up on the 22nd and 23rd of January! I've teamed up with Hay House for a GIVEAWAY of FIVE Miracles Now DECKS! :O OMG! Click here to enter, and keep reading for some ideas on what to do with this deck, or any affirmation cards you already have!

Daily Draws

Yeah OK, I said there was more to affirmation card life than daily draws, but actually, daily draws are pretty awesome. Leave your deck in the car, take it in your bag or even keep it in your desk at work so that you don't miss your daily reading. I also like to keep a deck by my bed so I can pull a card before I go to sleep.

Meditation Mantras

Pick a card as part of your meditation practice and use it at a mantra. Say it out loud or just breathe it in and out.

Decorate!

Who says card decks are only for divination!? Blue tac your favourite cards to the bathroom mirror or make a cool display in your office! You can even string them up in your bedroom with some fairy lights! #Gorgeous!

Ask specific questions

We usually work with affirmation decks by just asking for a general card or a message, but you can totally get into the details with these cards too! "What affirmation will most help me right now with my money stuff?" "What affirmation or mantra can I work with in relation to my annoying flatmate?" Go ahead and get specific! Us Tarot Readers always say the more specific your question is, the more specific your answer will be.

Soul Searching/Shadow Work

K, so I'm not a huge fan of the term "shadow work" but affirmation decks can give you a darn good idea of what you need to work on within yourself. I seriously just pulled "The qualities I dislike in others are disowned parts of my shadow" WOAH! Grab your journal and use your affirmation deck to help you with some serious soul searching and personal development.

Messages from your higher self

Use the affirmations as if they are messages from your higher self, best or soul self! Know that on a soul level you are already embodying this energy! I just pulled "My positive energy leaves a powerful impression on the world" OMG! I might not always feel like I'm doing that, so it's nice to have a little soul reminder!

Manifesting!

I'm a huge fan of having random cards all over my desk. Just now I have five cards from five different decks propped up on my desk to help me to bring that energy into my life. Sometimes cards will pop up in a reading that you'll want to keep out all day (some you want to put straight back in the deck! LOL!) other times you can go through the deck face up and choose a card that resonates with the energy or things you most want to manifest in your life.

Tarot Spreads

Guys this might sound weird, but there is no reason at all why you can't use an affirmation deck (or any deck!) the same way you use your Tarot cards. Check out this video I made you to show you how it's done!

Give your cards away!

Your deck doesn't have to stay all in one piece if you have the urge to give some of it away. Perhaps there's a card in your deck that is just so your bezzie. Send her or him the image on IG or go one better and pop the card in an envelope and send it over to their house. Secretly place a card on your loved one's pillow before bed and say it was magic! Gift different cards to different friends and loved ones, but make sure to save at least one for yourself! It's like those BFF necklaces for woo woos. Spread the energy, spread the love and stay connected!

Affirm + create shifts!

It's not enough when you're working with affirmations to just read the card, nod your head and say "yeah I so need that" and then put the card back in the deck and forget all about it. The magic of affirmations comes from actually saying them out loud! I like to say affirmations at least three times, but if you're really working on something say it ten times! Go for the tried and true 108 times if you're really serious about creating shifts! It 'aint gonna work unless you do the work

Do you have any wacky or out of the box ways you like to work with your cards? I'd love to hear about them in the comments or over on Social Media

Don't forget to enter the comp to win a deck! :D

With love, light and awesome affirmations!
