Just when you thought we were all nice and settled into 2017. Well, nope! Although this is the year of the Magician, we are all still navigating through the end of the last 9 year cycle before we're going to feel fully grounded in the new one. Change is occurring out in the world in a big, big way right now, and that's reflecting in our own lives too. 

RELATIONSHIPS: The Fool

A lot of us are transitioning with relationships right now.

Old relationships no longer feel in alignment, but perhaps we're scared to let go of the old because we can't see new tribe members coming in yet. Don't worry, your tribe is coming!

CAREER + CASH: The Hermit

This is a really great month to retreat back into yourself and reassess your dreams and goals. If you already know exactly what you want and how to make it happen, go for it! The Secret to connecting with your guidance + intuition

There is so much info out in the world right now about how to connect with your intuition, your higher self, your spirit guides and angels. And a lot of it is seriously awesomesauce... 

But what if all those meet your guides and third eye meditations just don't seem to work for you? 

I tried all those things for a long time and didn't really get that far with them. I did have awesome moments of clarity, feelings of being absolutely guided in a certain direction and some major epiphanies, but these were pretty few and far between.

So how did I get from floundering around the spiritual realms to running a spiritual biz, being able to clairvoyantly see people's past lives and spirit guides?

I started working with my own energy.

I'd been working in a pretty challenging job situation with a lot of negativity and other people's energy flying out in a gazillion directions for quite a few years and it was making me miserable.

When I began to understand that I was a HSP or an Empath and was picking up on and absorbing everything around me, everything changed.

Energy centred = guidance flowing! (The beach helps too) x

Being conscious of what was mine and what was not mine was MEGA. It's like carrying around a massive bag on your back for years and then one day actually noticing what's in that bag and realising it's not even your stuff!

Sidenote: I actually think we are all empaths. Some of us numb it or ignore it, some of us embrace it. No path is "right", only what is right for you and your journey.

Energetic protection has been my rock on my spiritual path. Protecting my energy so I wasn't taking on "stuff" from all over started to make it really clear what was actually mine.

I began working with my own energy in different ways - protecting, clearing (because sometimes you do take on stuff, even when you're super protected), grounding, hanging out with the chakra system.

And then guess what happened? Yep, that third eye just freaking opened and My guides and angels just started popping in for tea.

I didn't have to do anything. Of course, I'm still human. I still have times when I struggle to connect, to know what to do next, or work out which path to take, but when this happens, I go back to basics.

Five Crystals for Transition + Change

I don't usually blog about crystals that much, so if you dig this crystal post and want more of them let me know!

K, so we're mid January 2017 and I don't know about you, but I still feel very much like I'm in the transition. I'm still getting used to the energy of this year, working out what it's about and how to work with it to create an awesome year. Oh, PS - if you want to find out more about 2017 check out the free e-book!

These crystals may be useful little tools for you if you're like me and feeling a bit OMG what is this? right now, or if you're going through any kind of transition or change in your life.

I also thought it would be cool to connect these crystals to tarot cards too, to give you some idea of crystals that you can gather round you when these cards pop up in your spreads.

Oh, and like with everything, crystals can totally vibe with different people in different ways, and these are just some ways I connect with these babies...

1. Apache Tears + death

Apache Tears is one of my all time favourite crystals. I nearly put smoky quartz on here, but I felt like actually, change and transition is bloody HARD y'know? 

Apache tears is great for grounding, healing and especially heart healing. It can help bring you back into yourself when you're going through something really difficult.

Perfect for big stuff like break-ups, losing your job, moving country, or just trying to get through any other tough and big change - internal or external.

2. Zebra Jasper - Justice

Zebra Jasper is an awesome grounding and balancing stone.

When we're going through change of any kind it can be really easy to get mega floaty. Having your roots totally ripped out from beneath you sucks. This stone connects with your root and earth star chakra to reconnect those roots, and helps you to balance your chakras and masculine and feminine energies.

3. Botswana Agate - Ace of Cups

A bit of Botswana Agate is very good for soothing the soul and helping you feel calm and chill.

In times of change we can get pretty stressed out and anxious! Botswana Agate has a cool, kind and relaxing vibe which makes it perfect for those moments when you start to feel mega frazzled about your path forward from here. Very good for helping you stay in the now and helping you to fill that cup! Recharge your batteries with Botswana Agate!

4. Amethyst - The High Priestess

I love Amethyst for a violet flame transmutation Saint Germain kind of vibe.

Meditate with your amethyst and visualise yourself in the crystal, with the violet flame around you transmuting all the old and making way for the new.

Amethyst is also great for connecting with your inner knowing which makes making plans and moving forward all that much easier.

5. Tektite - The Star

A little out of left field with this one, but it was like "Vix, Vix! Include me!" so I was like OK little guy!

Tektite is an interesting stone because it's super grounding but it also helps you to open up to the universe, to your ET guides, to the realisation and awe of just how massive everything is.

I mean, start Googling NASA pictures and your mind will be blown in no time. Sometimes when we are going through changes and transitions we are so zoomed in on our own stuff that we forget about the bigger picture. Tektites can  help you put it all in perspective.

The OA Tarot Spread

If you're not totally losing your shiz over the OA on Netflix you're not doing 2017 right.

Me and the bf binge watched it over a couple of nights after being totally hooked from the start. Interdimensional travel, Angels, a killer soundtrack and the best choreography you've ever seen in your life? I mean, OMG. Stop even reading this and just go watch it.

The story line revolves around our girl Prairie who has a near death experience and then gets kidnapped by a creepy doctor who wants to do experiments on her, and others like her.

So obvs, the idea of feeling "trapped" was the inspiration for this spread.

Pyjama Party with Naomi from Nandora

Naomi from Nandora is one of the most adorable, kind, wise beyond her years and tuned-in people I've met on the internet.

She is a Tarot reader, energy healer and also a trance channel. I had a channelling session with her last year which blew my unicorn socks right off!

What kind of music are we going to have at the pyjama party?

We are going to listen to Prima Nocta and have an old-fashioned village party while we are making our home made pizza.  And at girly time we will listen to Enigma album “Le Roi Est Mort, Vive le Roi!”.

I am going to wear my tiger onesie over my panda pyjamas!

What fun make up or beauty products are in your overnight bag?

I have my homemade soap with me and some homemade lotion bars. I make cold process and I make my own glycerine soap from scratch and sometimes I also make some nice soap from a melt and poor base.  Here, I also brought you some soaps.

Oh thank you! These smell amazing! Who does your hair?

Dennis Tetteroo is always cutting my hair. He has a nice hair salon in the Netherlands. I get it cut every 3 months, I don’t colour because I like my natural hair.

And what hairstyle would you have if you could have anything? (I'd totally have an 80's perm!)

I would love to have Marie Forleo’s hair style! It’s so nice and full I would totally rock that!

Oh yes, her hair is magic! Where do you get all those cute outfits you’re always wearing?

I love to just shop in the shopping centre near to my house. I Love to buy fun stuff that makes me happy. I also still have a lot of office clothes but I try not to wear them at home or out of the office.

So like, how do you make money to pay for those cool pyjamas and all your awesome clothes and make up and stuff?

I have my own business called Nandora. I do cards readings for people using tarot, oracle, Lenormand and angel cards. Also I do healings with Reiki, Shambhala multi-dimensional healing and BLU-e energy. I do healings in person or over distance and I even make personal healing videos for people. I also help people in person with flower remedies and I hope to offer that service soon online as well.

Yes! I loved the healing video I purchased from you! So how did you get that job?

I was always very sensitive as a child and feeling things around me. When I was 15 I was very scared all the time of things that I could not name. My mother sent me to a lady who worked with flower remedies.  Every 3 weeks I went to her for a new bottle of flower remedies. After some weeks I started to feel better and was able to enjoy life again, and after 2 months I was a teenager again :D She also taught me a lot about spiritual stuff and I knew then that one day I would learn about flower remedies so that I could help people too.

When I was 16 or 17 I got my first Tarot deck kit from my mother. We did not know what Tarot was. But I read the book and just went with it. Then in my twenties I stopped because I needed to totally drop everything spiritual. In my late twenties I picked up a Tarot deck again and I felt like I needed to start from scratch. After some months of working with a deck again I found that my old tarot knowledge was still there. Then I started to do healing and flower remedy courses. That is how it started!

What fun stuff do you like doing on school nights?

I love to make dinner for Hans (my partner) and talk about his day in the kitchen and playing with the cats at the same time… Yes, it’s possible! Then at the moment we watch Lost while we have dinner. After that I am most of the time chatting online with friends and doing some video editing for my YouTube channel. 3 nights per week I also work reading cards for people. Before I go to bed I spend some quality time with my card deck by myself.

How about on the weekend?

On the weekend I love to work on my hobbies. I love to make scale model houses and model landscaping for our H0 gauge railroad. And making soaps is also a big hobby of mine! I love to go on my bicycle or just have walks in to nature. We also love to drive to Germany for a day to go to inspirational places and be back at home the same day. We also do that sometimes to France as well. Don’t forget I live in the Netherlands and I am over the border in 2 hours driving.   

Ah, how amazing to be so close to everyone! What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to be happy and be able to look back on my life with no regrets. I want to be able to say to myself that at least I always tried and learned instead of not trying at all.

I'm getting hungry, what's your favourite pyjama party food and beverages?

Homemade weed free pizza! That was in the oven while we talked, remember?

Tomato, onions, Gouda Cheese, mushrooms.

OMG I love Stargate! :D Do you have a favourite teen movie?!

When I was a teen I was in love with the Fantaghiro movies also known as The Cave of the Golden Rose. It’s an Italian Fairytale. A teen movie that I loved as an adult was the Twilight series.

I love Twlight too! :) OMG what was that noise?! :O Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever seen one?

I love to say that I don’t believe in ghosts but unfortunately, I have had experiences with them. Still I don’t want to believe in them!

Have you ever had any other cool paranormal encounters?

Haha! Cool… Yes, now that I look back it was cool but when I was 11 when this happened I was scared for 3 years! 

Are you ready for a ghost story?

Yes! No... OK, yes! Eeeep!

My family moved to a house where the last renter died. The whole house was empty except for his shoes in a hall. For me the energy felt so off in that house that I did not wanted to live there. In the following months that we lived there my mother bought lots of second hand furniture.  She got it from everywhere but the creepy thing was that it was all from the previous renter!  My mother became obsessed with bunnies and later we found out that the previous renter had a bunny hobby too.

I started to get the feeling that someone was looking at me when I was sleeping and I always stared at my wall because I was scared that I would see the man on the side of my bed. One night I could not take it anymore and I wanted to sleep with my light on. At that moment my lamp made a noise and stopped working. I got so scared that I wished that my mother would put the light on in the hall. Then my room was filled with light! I was happy until I realised that it was my broken lamp that went on by itself while the switch was off! That made me so scared that I did not want to sleep alone in my room. So, I slept in my mother’s room for some time. She had some wooden planks in her room. One night I was hearing knocking sounds in a very specific rhythm. When we turned the light on I saw the planks move against each other on their own! We moved soon after that to another home and left all his stuff in that house!

:O What do you think happens when we die?

I believe that we go back to our own soul. And yet we are already there because if time is doesn’t exist we are everywhere at the same time. So, in a way I will also be forever here right now.

I love that… who do you think you were in a past life?

I believe my soul that gave me life and wanted me to be here has many lives but I don’t see them as mine. I am Naomi, an expression of the soul who wanted to experience this. The past and future lives of my soul I see as brothers and sisters because we all came from the same soul. I know 3 of them who live in a time line that is for where I live the past. But as I said before I don’t believe time is a thing so we all live at once. Can you still follow?

I want to be in bed before 11.00pm but I do not always succeed. But I am usually in bed before 12.00pm

Making Magic with the Magician in 2017

2017 is a one year in numerology and in Tarot that makes it a Magician year! Well, it's also a Wheel of Fortune year, but I feel like the kick ass Magician vibe is really gonna be on the front line this year. 

The Magician is such an incredible archetype and I'm so excited about embodying the Harry Potter within this year! :D

So we have all this amazing new beginnings, manifesting and magic energy floating around in the air this year, what are you gonna do with it? I've put together 5 tips to help you really connect with your inner Magician this year!

1. gratitude is literally everything

If you're not happy with what you already have, having new things isn't going to make you happy either.

How many times do you manifest something cool but don't even take stock of it because you're too busy manifesting the next thing?

Being grateful doesn't mean you stop setting goals and trying to achieve your dreams, it's about being grateful for all the dreams that have already come true.

2. Be conscious of your feelings

You do not need to be a shiny, positive, unicorn riding, glitter throwing light being every single moment of every single day to do good magic.

It's helpful to just try to be conscious and aware of how you're feeling.

If you feel like you need a couch day to be miserable, take it, but take it with the intention of looking after yourself when you're feeling down, rather than "I'm going to the couch FOREVER because everything sucks." Being conscious of your feelings and taking time off when you need it is actually pretty high vibe right?

3. Ritual

Ritual is awesome for manifesting and making magic.

You can visualise until you're blue in the face, but sometimes writing down what you want, lighting a candle or doing a full on witchy ritual is what you really need to help set that intention and get it moving out into the physical world.

4. Find a magical path

Study Wicca or Hoodoo, become a Christian Witch, join a coven or just create your own magical path of the Lightworker. 

5. Manifest from the heart

Sometimes we can get really caught up in manifesting "stuff". A parking space, a pair of earrings, a book, a new job, a partner...

What you really want to do when you're making magic is peel it all back to how you want to feel, what your heart and soul desire and always manifest from your heart chakra.

Summer Solstice Tarot Spread x

Wahoo! It's Summer Solstice time in Australia! :D I'm currently on vacay and missing the Winter Solstice in the UK, if you're looking for a spread to help you through the chilly months click here.

The Summer Solstice is a great time to acknowledge and work with the light, the sun energy, the divine masculine and to stand in your own power gosh darn it!

This spread will help you navigate through this powerful time. As with all my spreads you can use Tarot, Oracle, Angel or whatever cards you have lying around. There is no real order to this spread, so feel free to start where it suits you.

If you're feeling a bit like OMG it's midsummer and I want to be enjoying myself and basking in the light and making some serious magic but how?? this card will tell you.

If you're already feeling mega magical - YAY, use this card as a compass pointing you towards where more light can be found.

I pulled the Queen of Wands - Boom! This reminds me that my source of light this solstice is within and in connecting with my own inner Queen of Wands!

CARD TWO: Keys to abundance

Oh man, don't you hate it when you lose your keys to abundance? D'oh! This card will remind you where you put them.

I pulled the six of cups, naaaw. My keys to abundance can be found in reconnecting with who I really am, and the things I used to really love.

CARD THREE: Reward yourself for this

We just don't reward ourselves for pretty much anything these days. This card will let you know where you've been going well and deserve a cheers!

I pulled the Devil for this card. This feels like it's time to throw a party for overcoming some fear and chains to negativity. Hoorah! Pizza and beer on me! :D

CARD FOUR: The Divine Masculine

This card can be read in many different ways depending on what the Divine Masculine means to you. It can be a message from the Divine Masculine, a message about connecting to this energy, or a message about how to work with and connect to the masculine energy within yourself.

I pulled the Lovers! Ooooh! This feels a little like falling in love with both masculine and feminine parts of myself...

CARD FIVE: How to create future success

When the sun shines down on you you can't go wrong. So what do you need to do to harness the sun's power and create future success in your life?

I pulled the Ace of Pentacles, and this feels like a message about how important it is to acknowledge the small successes, and connect to the abundance already in my life, the pennies in my purse and the food in my fridge. :)

I love this card when it pops up to let us know that karmic cycles are now complete. If you've been struggling with something for ages, hanging onto a path that doesn't serve you, dealing with some heavy relationship stuff, when you see this card, know that you have done your part.

There is nothing left for you to do. You can now walk away knowing your job is complete. 

If you've been going through a difficult time you can be sure that when you see this card the end is near and soon you'll be moving into a new energy.

Tens = Completion

Tens are the number of completion.

When you see the Ten of Swords you can start looking forward to the new energy that's coming for you, but don't get too excited just yet! You still have some ten energy to hang out in for a while, otherwise you would've pulled an Ace right?

Tens for me are all about feeling the feelings as the beautiful Louise Androlia would say.

Tens are about tying up lose ends, getting your affairs in order.

Moving out of your place, quitting your job, setting intentions for change and generally getting through that last month of school.

Get prepped, great things are coming, but stay in the completion energy until you are totally ready.

Do not resuscitate

I find this card comes up a lot for people who have been putting up with situations for way too long.

You know, giving people (who probably don't deserve them) extra chances, giving that job six more months even though it's mega soul destroying. It's the guy who cheats on you so many times and you keep taking him back. 

I see this a lot for people who are trying to "fix" things that are done. People who are trying to resuscitate something that is dead. A relationship, job, situation, lifestyle that is killing you. Change your ways babe, let dead things lie and move on.

When this card comes up it's a big, big message from the universe that whatever you're holding onto is done.

You can try to ignore all the signs to move on, but eventually you're gonna have to let that coffin drop. Don't be clutching it when it does.

I'm done!

It can be super hard to see this card when you're asking about a relationship, especially something you really want to see manifest, or something you want to keep.

Know that the Ten of Swords isn't here to take anything away from you, it's here to clear and complete the energy of what you're currently in so that you can find new love, with someone new or in a new way and a new energy with someone from the past.
